YouthWorks 2016

The State of Maryland is again proud to be a participant in the nationally-recognized YouthWorks 
summer jobs program in Baltimore City. YouthWorks connects young people between the ages of
14 - 21 to organizations and businesses for summer work experiences. The program is coordinated and funded by the Mayor’s Office of Employment Development (MOED), and has successfully placed 8,000 youth in summer jobs this year.

This summer marks our 16th year of participation in the program and the State of Maryland has
accepted close to 500 youth workers. The State is hosting youth workers for both of two 
YouthWorks’ sessions. The first session began on June 27 and runs until July 29; while the second 
session runs from July 11 to August 12.

If you, or someone you know, may be interested in participating in next year’s program for the 
summer of 2017, the registration process for youth will begin on January 2, 2017. The website for
