Regular/ Full-time – Primarily 12am-8:30am shift

Essential Functions: Monitor mainframe/AIX, Linux, and Windows Systems/peripheral equipment. Monitoring mainframe subsystems (i.e., CICS, TSO, Net Master, Omegamon, TCIP). Setup/verify printers for output distribution (i.e., Land records, Criminal, Traffic, Civil, MDEC Notices and responsible for distribution reports). Work with in-house personnel (programmers, technical support, and supervisor) with batch/test jobs. Assist users in troubleshooting hardware/software problems. Place service calls to vendors and 2nd level support when needed. Monitor DataStage message queues for alerts. Monitoring SolarWinds for network outages.

Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Experience: Two (2) years of related work experience to include user support or equivalent, and system monitoring of mainframes and infrastructure components/operating systems.

Skills/Abilities: Knowledgeable of basic IBM systems commands, standard IBM messages and procedures for maintaining productivity. Knowledge of VTAM, JCL, JES2, MVS, TSO, Unix, Omegamon, CICS. The ability to reason analytically, communicate orally and written in a positive, and effective manner with end users and solve problems. Working knowledge of MS operating systems, RedHat Enterprise Linux, Word 2016, Outlook 2016, and Office 365. Mainframe, and Personal Computer knowledge and ability to use database user interface and query software, network monitoring software. Ability to work weekends, holidays and various shifts as needed to meet staffing requirements. Ability to perform the essential functions of this position.
