About Workday Reports

Many of the screens in SPS Workday will allow you to view important information that you may have needed a report for in the past. When additional levels of detail are required, reports are available and can be run based on the employee’s role in the system. Employees can defined criteria for these reports, filter by column, and export to Excel for additional sorting, formatting and analysis. The Report Help Center provides information on how to run reports, and a summary of SPS HR and Timekeeping reports available in Workday.

Finding SPS Reports via Search

  1. To search for and run a report in Workday, search the name of the report in the search Reports Searchbar.
  2. Click on the report name (i.e. Time Off by Period), to run the report.
  3. Depending on the report, Workday will prompt the user to fill in specific reporting criteria such as Organization, Start Date, End Date, etc.
Note: Some reports may run immediately upon clicking on the report name.
  4. Once the required fields have been completed, click OK to run the report.
  5. The results are displayed and can be sorted using the filter icon in the right corner. The file can also be exported in an MS Excel document for more sorting options by clicking the Excel icon.

Running Reports via Worklet

Based on your role and access, you may have special report worklets on your Workday homepage. For additional information, refer to the Job Aids for additional information.
