The Statewide Personnel System (SPS) tool, Workday, automates many of the procedures and practices of your agency’s personnel transactions.

This page contains Job Aids and Videos to assist you in performing various functions in Workday. For day-to-day HR transactions, use the Job Aids found on this page for assistance, NOT the guide used during training. You can also find answers to questions fellow HR staff have asked about being new to SPS and using Workday for HR.

SPS Workday HR User Groups are held monthly by the DBM Shared Services team. The User Group is your opportunity to learn about enhancements and changes to the Workday tool. Below are the User Group notes from previous meetings.

Quick Guide: Shortened step by step guide that includes directions on how to complete a specific transaction; intended as a shortened guide or possibly a subset of a Job Aid for HR personnel to complete a specific operation.

FAQ: In-depth overview of information from the Shared Services team that includes important points, helpful tidbits and links to helpful resources that correlate with the given information.

Reference: Informational resources meant to provide key details on processes that agencies may not complete themselves; a deeper look into various procedures for a better understanding of the SPS system.
