 Dental Benefits

Dental coverage is available to all individuals who are eligible for State health benefits. You have two dental plans from which to choose:

Dental Health Maintenance Organization (DHMO) plan:

  • United Concordia

Dental Preferred Provider Organization (DPPO) plan:

  • United Concordia

NOTE: Coverage in the DBP DHMO plan ends June 30, 2009. If you are currently enrolled in this plan and wish to have dental benefits after June 30, you must select a new dental plan during Open Enrollment. You must be enrolled in one of these UCCI dental plans if you want to have dental benefits.

NEW! The Smile for Health® Maternity Dental Benefit provides pregnant women with an additional cleaning during the course of pregnancy, regardless of whether they have met the cleaning limitation. This benefit helps control periodontal disease, which has been linked to premature births and low birthweight babies and also helps address a common condition known as pregnancy gingivitis. This benefit is considered “preventive” under the DHMO and DPPO plans.
