TITLE: Environmental Sanitarian Trainee (2428)
SALARY: $29,501- 45,205 (Grade 12)
CLOSING DATE: OPEN AND CONTINUOUS
DESCRIPTION: This is the entry level of work at a local health department performing inspections and investigations to secure compliance with environmental health laws and regulations. Employees in this classification receive close supervision and do not supervise other employees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Determined by the Maryland State Board of Environmental Sanitarians under the certificate of eligibility requirements for Environmental Sanitarians.
EXPERIENCE: None.
LICENSE:
1. Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a certificate of eligibility to be licensed as a Registered Environmental Sanitarian for the Maryland State Board of Environmental Sanitarians (1800 Washington Blvd. located at Montgomery Park within, the Maryland Department of the Environment, 410- 537-3597). A photocopy of current registration or certificate of eligibility MUST be attached to the application form (MS-100)
2. Persons appointed in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of an automobile. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
