TITLE: Environmental Sanitarian I (2429)

SALARY: $31,416 - $48,220 (Grade 13)

CLOSING DATE: OPEN AND CONTINUOUS

DESCRIPTION: This is the intermediate level of work under moderate supervision at a local health department performing inspections and investigation to secure compliance with environmental health laws and regulations. Employees in this classification do not supervise Environmental Sanitarians but may supervise support staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Determined by the Maryland Board of Environmental Sanitarians under the certificate of eligibility requirements for Environmental Sanitarians.

EXPERIENCE: One year of experience performing inspections and investigations to secure compliance with environmental health laws and regulations.

LICENSE:
1. Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a current license as a Registered Environmental Sanitarian for the Maryland State Board of Environmental Sanitarians, 1800 Washington Blvd; Baltimore MD 21230 (410) 537-3597. A photocopy of current license MUST be attached to the application form (MS-100)

2. Persons appointed in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of an automobile. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
