TITLE: COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSE II
SALARY: $40,268 - $64,282 (Grade 16) (Effective July 1)
CLOSING DATE: Open and Continuous
DESCRIPTION: A Community Health Nurse II is the full performance level of direct nursing care to patients in various community settings and local health department clinics. Employees in this classification do not supervise other nursing staff but may supervise support staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: A Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
EXPERIENCE: None.
NOTES: 1. A bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and one year of experience as a registered nurse may be substituted for the required education.
2. Two years of experience as a registered nurse may be substituted for the required education.
3. Persons appointed in this classification are subject to substance abuse testing in accordance to Executive Order 01.01.1989.05 and the Code of Maryland Regulations 06.01.09 "Testing for Illegal Use of Drugs".
4. After an offer of employment, applicants may be given a medical examination to certify the ability to perform essential job functions.
LICENSE: Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing, 4201 Patterson Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21215. A copy of current license MUST accompany application.
