Retirement Procedures for Activated State Employees
An MS-310 transaction will be required for employees on Military Administrative Leave (difference-in-pay program) to discontinue the employee’s retirement system contribution. Employees on activated military duty will not continue to make retirement contributions.

NOTE: When the employee returns from active military duty, the agency will have to re-submit the MS-310 changing the Retirement System code back to the appropriate system code. This transaction will start the employee’s contributions once again.
Health Benefits Procedures for Activated State Employees
The fiscal information for your agency must be submitted to Leslie Buchman each time an employee is activated if the employee wishes to continue their health benefits at no charge.
The fiscal information should include:

NOTE: When the employee returns from active military duty, the agency will have to submit an Health Benefits enrollment form to get the employee back on regular benefit deductions.
